With his 1786 Le nozze di Figaro, Mozart created a synthesis of the irreconcilably different genres of opera seria and opera buffa. Over 200 years later, the story of the title character's tangled love life has lost none of its charm. The Symphoniker Hamburg under Sylvain Cambreling open their concert with the work's effervescent overture.
