There are few symphonic works with such lasting appeal as Dvořák's Ninth. This makes it especially challenging for performers – how to make a work thrilling if everyone knows it inside out? Krzysztof Urbánski has made guest appearances in Dresden before, and he will now apply his conducting talent to Dvořák. Also on the program, Pascal Dusapin's latest work. "Waves" – Concerto for Organ and Orchestra was premiered in January 2020 by organist Iveta Apkalna. Since then, all further performances have featured Olivier Latry at the keyboard – and he is the soloist here as well. Catch both works live and exclusive on takt1!

A co-production of the Dresden Philharmonic and takt1.
