{{ message.content }}

This poignant program brings together a beginning and an end. Prokofiev took a playful approach to his first encounter with the venerable genre of the symphony. His first is short, succinct, and almost classically familiar. It's a work that finds the composer playfully experimenting with a tonal language he would later decisively turn his back on. With his "Unfinished", Schubert created one of the greatest icons in all of symphonic music. He doesn't shy away from big gestures in this work full of mysticism and romantic exaltations.
