A Concertante Performance of Mozart's "Figaro"

Teodor Currentzis & musicAeterna
{{ message.content }}

Uncompromising, curious, meticulous and demanding – all in service of the music. When Teodor Currentzis takes on a project, he always gives his all. When his Figaro recording was released in 2014, featuring his own ensemble musicAeterna, it sent shockwaves through the world of classical music. Overnight, everybody knew him as classical's latest "enfant terrible". His approach to Mozart's score was not only defined by historical precision, but also by a search for friction and emotional impact. This semi-staged production of Currentzis' Figaro marks the beginning of the new season at the Vienna Konzerthaus: a real statement.

This video-on-demand is currently in post production. The video will be available again in short time. We appreciate your patience.

Teodor Currentzis appears by the kind permission of Sony Classical
